About this research study:
Help researchers learn more about a new, investigational medication's impact on opioid withdrawal through a 7-day inpatient research study.
In 2021, over 100,000 people in the United States died from an opioid-involved overdose. Researchers at the New York State Psychiatric Institute want to help.
This research study is partnering with healthy opioid users, 18-60 years old, to determine if this new medication is an effective way to treat opioid withdrawal. Join our compensated research study and further research today!

The long-term goal of this research will be to further develop a medication that may help treat opioid withdrawal.
You may qualify for this research study if you meet the following criteria.

- Ages 18 to 60
- Currently use Opioids
- Mentally and physically healthy
Eligibility for admission into the research study will be based on a psychiatric evaluation, physical examination, blood, and urine testing, electrocardiogram, drug history assessment, urine drug testing, and ascertainment of physical dependence on opioids.
Study participants will also complete a 7-day inpatient stay.

Compensation is provided for participation in this research study up to $1775.
